Water is the best thing you can put in your body, and yet many people don't get the amount of water each day that the body require.
Water are essential for human health, over 60% of the body consist of water, and the effects of dehydration can be life threatening. Without water, you couldn't maintain a normal body temperature, lubricate your joints, or get rid of waste throug urination, sweat and bowel movements.
Not getting enough water can lead to dehydration, which can cause muscle weakness and cramping, lack of cordination, an increased risk of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
The fact are that water are so important, that a person couldn't last more than approximately 5 days without it.
I used to be a coffeeholic, - well, still are, kind off... Coffee used to be the first thing to drink when getting up in the morning, and many times the last thing to drink before heading to bed, but changing my everyday routine and simply trick myself into drinking more water, has made a big difference for my everyday living and the way i feel, and no wonder, because the benefits of keeping well hydrated are many, t.ex.:
Helps to maintain pH balance
Protects body against dehydration
Helps in breathing and metabolism
Aids in regulating body temperature
Helps prevent cardiovascular disorders
Reduces risk of kidney stones and ulcers
Prevents constipation, heartburn and migraine
Reduces risk of osteoporosis and hip fractures
What i have experienced are that the headache that i often had, are almost gone. I feel more concentrated and energized during the day. It is easier for me to keep focus on the things that i do, and even feeling more relaxed at the same time. My eyes doesn't feel dry and irritated in the same way they used to do.
All i did was to change a few things in my daily routine.
I now always have a glass of water at my bedside, so i can take a sip of water in case i wake up during the night.
I placed a glass besides the coffee machine, to remind me to have a glass of water to start the day. Mostly i drink pineapple water, or water with citrus at this time, it helps activating the internal organs, and then the coffee have time to brew :)
Did you know that...
1 glass of water, half an hour before a meal, will help digestion.
1 glass of water before taking a bath, helps to lower blood pressure.
1 glass of water before bedtime, avoids stroke or heart attack.
During the day i sip water as often as i can, and in the evening i seldom drink coffee nowadays, but have replaced it with infused water or tea.
